South Asian talent recognised at GEMCO awards night

After more than two decades of success in the international education industry and building countless strong partnerships, GEMCO Sydney organising GEMCO Sydney Thanksgiving and Outstanding Achiever/ Talent Awards 2019.

Since its inception in 1996, GEMCO Sydney has believed in the motto of “Dream Big, Achieve Big” and with such a big vision, GEMCO continues to make the dream of international education a reality for several students aspiring to study overseas.

It was 23rd Anniversary of GEMCO and as a thanksgiving to its clients and recognising the outstanding talents and achievements of Australian South Asian communities the award night was organised.

The event began with a personal message from the current Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison who had sent his best wishes to everyone gathered.

The Awards honoured those who have reached the highest echelons of society through the dint of their hard work, perseverance and talent. After a rigorous nomination and selection process, ten outstanding South Asians were awarded for their achievements and contributions to Australia in the presence of more than 600 multicultural guests. The awardees included Aadidev, Harkirat Singh Sandhar, Rashil, Mili Dakshin and Khushi Dakshin, Manvi Rastogi, King B Chouhan, Maryam Zahid, Sheikh Huque and Vinod Daniel.

The night was packed with several entertainment performances  including on-stage fast-speed painting by Mili, Khushi, Manvi and Amanpreet; Bollywood dance performances by Vihang group, Jhoomer and a live fashion show.

Nitin Madan and Sakshi Kapoor acted as the Master of Ceremonies of the show. The event was also broadcasted live, to be enjoyed online by thousands of viewers all around the world.

GEMCO Sydney carries extensive industry experience and knowledge to guide international students in their academic pursuits in Australia. The approach to work in the ‘best interest’ of the students has always been the key to their long sustenance in the industry.

Awards night was sponsored by ECA, Vantage Luxe Homes, Artech Homes, Uneek Group, Harish Prasad & Associates, Wentworth Institute, AHSI, Ash Designs, Waratah Estate Agents, Infinity Finance Solutions and Easy Being Solar, Australia.
