Harman Foundation is always passionate when it comes to help the community and is focussed to empower and support affected individuals, families and the community to make a positive change in their lives.
After a successful Annual Fundraising Event on 28, 2021 at Bowman Hall, Harman foundation organised a dinner on April 30, 2021 at Glenwood Community Hall to acknowledge all the volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year and support Harman Foundation by providing their services in different forms.
It was attended by over 100 people including families of the volunteers who have volunteered t for Harman Foundation in different ways.
“Think Harman- another initiative of Harman Foundation, was also launched during the Volunteers Dinner Night by Tony Bleasdale, Mayor of Blacktown City Council.
Think Harman is a quarterly based newsletter which will give give an insight about the various activities being carried out by Harman Foundation.
Tony Bleasdale, while speaking on the occasion applauded the efforts of Harman Foundation and added that Harman Foundation has always been upfront when it comes to help the community.
He appreciated the new initiative, “Think Harman” and said that Blacktown council has always offered support to the Harman Foundation wherever required and will be supporting them in all their future endeavours as well.
Harinder Kaur, Co-founder of Harman Foundation while speaking on the occasion expressed her happiness about this initiative.
Speaking about the new initiative, Harinder Kaur said, “ This newsletter- ‘Think Harman’ will keep the people updated about the various initiatives of the Harman foundation and would also give an overview to them about the upcoming events of Harman Foundation.”
While speaking about the volunteers she said, “I would like to thank all the volunteers and supporters of Harman Foundation for their tireless efforts and generous sponsors for their financial support. Without the dedication of the Team Harman, it would have not been possible for the foundation to help and provide so many services to individuals and families in need.”
Harinder further added, “Since it s inception we have come a long way but still there are miles to go. Harman Foundation has a number of volunteers, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, sponsors that are with us and have assisted us in various projects and will assist us in future as well. This Volunteers dinner night was organised to acknowledge and recognise the efforts of all the people who are a part of this organisation,” she added.
Certificates of appreciation were given to all the volunteers by Harman foundation for their efforts and time. Bhangra by young enthusiasts was another highlight of the evening, whereas balloon twisting for the kids kept them engaged.
