AAP Sweeps Delhi, Kejriwal to take oath on February 14, 2015

‘With great power comes great responsibilities’, this  is what the Aam Aadmi party members are saying after their surprising victory in Delhi.

People have given another chance to AAP ,  and it is golden opportunity  for AAP as they have come out with  full majority .

In one of the most stunning comebacks for the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal  scored a landslide win in Delhi defeating BJP and  clean sweeping Congress  party which ruled the capital for 15 years till 2013.

After the surprising victory of  BJP in Lok Sabha elections, the recent results came as a pleasant surprise for all the APP supporters. The BJP  party gambled on Bedi relying  on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image which did not work for the party. Not even the Modi-wave and Kiran Bedi vs Arvind Kejriwal factor did work quite well for BJP this time  as  BJP failed to exploit on people’s sentiments..

In 2013 Assembly polls, Kejriwal made a stunning electoral debut by defeating Delhi’s three-time Congress Chief Minister and this time again it is a great comeback .

The social media sites are flooded with comments and compliments for the Aam Aadmi Party and also with expectations and speculations  about this changeover.

Arvind Kejriwal defeated Nupur Sharma by  31, 583 votes form the prestigious New Delhi constituency. Arvind Kejriwal bagged 57,213 votes defeating his BJP opponent   Nupur Sharma who could manage to get only 25,630 votes whereas former Delhi Minister and Congress leader Kiran Walia could manage to get only 4,781 votes.

Out of 70 seats , AAP won 67 seats and BJP got only 3, whereas  it was a clean sweep for Congress , one of the oldest party in India.

Arvind Kejriwal will take oath as Chief Minister on February 14 at Ramlila Grounds ,  exactly one year after he stepped down.
